TREAD is a platform for young architects and designers to showcase their work to the wider design community. The wider aim of the journal is to provide an opportunity for architecture students, and pre-registration architects, to exhibit their work in a form which will be easily accessible for industry - and to further provide a physical form to an evolving practice which has a tendency to exist primarily digitally.
TREAD Journal is edited by Amina Basam, Ava Simpson, and Isaac Wise. The production of Issue 001 would not have been possible without the gracious support of ARM Archicture and RMIT University.
Produced in collaboration with 0_ln, a design studio founded by Nicholas Gleeson, and Timon Meury.

PRESS is the vessel which encases the work from the graduating students of the Bachelor of Design (Communication Design) at RMIT University. With a focus on tangible printed matter, PRESS acts as the container to connect the collection of widely differing works and mediums produced throughout the program. By focusing on the lack of uniformity, PRESS presents a conglomerate of styles connected in part by their lack of consistency. Through the lack of parameters, the works are given space to exist within their own aura; while also revealing unexpected through lines and visual narratives which would not exist within an isolated environment. PRESS reveals the inherent connection between differing stylistic forms, and gives space for the interaction and dialogue between works which would not ordinarily exist.
Every image on the web-page is draggable. By arranging images on the page, you are then able to select the Print Screen option; exporting a user-generated pdf file which is sent via email to the user. The resulting object becomes a synthesis between physical and digital, creating a direct tangible entity which straddles the intersections of two distinctly seperate representative mediums.
Produced in collaboration with Ella Taylor, Finn Stewart, Jiayu Cheng, Liam Kenna, Nicholas Gleeson, Suzie Zezula, and Timon Meury.

Edition of 2
Object-Oriented Photography: Surface Interaction as Photographic Exposure is a physical edition of a thesis written in late 2022. The text is a critique of the dominant canon of photographic practice, proposing an alternative method of working which deconstructs the human-centric heirarchy and allows non-human agency in their own photographic representations. The full text is available at the link below.

↗︎ streifen.co
Founded in 2024, Streifen emerged from a desire for creative fluidity, reflecting our shared curiosity for blending our interests in a deeply personal and uncompromising way. Our ethos is bound by a desire to create objects and experiences rooted in sensuality. The ‘Streifen’ aesthetic intertwines disciplined rationalism with a weathered, romantic touch. It’s as if carefully curated lines attempted to dance, only to stumble, creating moments that are both deliberate and unexpected. Streifen is deeply rooted in the intersection of art and function - using high-quality materials, and intricate craftsmanship in the hope to create pieces that are experiential, layered, and enduring.
